Visited this beach while on a recent work trip to Salvador. Was a great beach for relaxing, eating and people watching. Water was very warm but pretty rough. This I'm told is normal for the area. Several restaurant choices on the beach which are very...More

Flamengo Beach is the best in Salvador. Everything is better there, from the water itself to the lack of rocks, which are plenty in other beaches. It is also quiet, and far from the crowds. At low tide, the water trapped on the beach forms...More

This is a great beach, never over crowded and beautiful. It is well worth the drive out of the city for a day in paradise.

Probably the best beach of city Salvador. Accesible with public transport or taxi. When you get to beach is the best if you sit in bar and drink or eat some food. This is most safe. Water is warm. Nice place for relax, swim, or...More

This is a great place for those with children. The beach offers a great environment for bathing and small lagoons for children.

It is right next to the Flamengo park, so nice to have a walk around from park to the beach. There weren't many people on the beach like Ipanema or Copacabana, so it was much peaceful.

This is one of the most beautiful beach of Salvador, but very dirty and contaminated. What do they expect the local authorities to save what can be saved? A pity that ALL the town beach is contaminated.

In spite of being a bit far away from the city center, Praia do Flamengo is a really nice place to stay for a day/afternoon. The facilities in the 'Barraca do Pipa' are nice and the crew as well.

Not easy at all... going to the beach in Salvador! Flamengo and Stela Maris are the best options by far! All the other beaches are polluted, crowded, dirty and receive a stinky sewage water...Actually they were meant to be only rain water drains...but once the...More
