Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Typical beach of the city of Salvador, very dirty and smells bad, greasy food. Lots of people. I do not recommend.

It is located between Pituba and Boca do Rio, close to bars, restaurants, banks, pharmacys, cinema and a park. Easy to find it, there are buses to there all the time and nice people are always around. There are people running, walking and jogging since 5:30AM to 9PM on the pedestrian walk. It is a nice beach, there are people selling food, beers, water, coconut and drinks. You may rent a table and chairs from R$10,00 - R$20,00, or find a place where they otfer that for free if you buy their stuff (food and drinks).
You may find massage therapists around, under the coconut tress, with their "massage bed" offering their services from R$20,00 depending on how much time you want.
It is a nice place to go.

This is a beach with rough waters, some high waves, but still safe. The beauty of this beach is the many coconut trees near it, this is a very relaxing place, few shades, some folks providing open air massage. This is a good place to enjoy the beach, food is near the beach, one can also walk at the long beach or on the sidewalk. This beach is also close to many hotels and excellent restaurants.

This beach can be a good idea to do gym, walking and cycling. BUT as far as the beach itself, I do not recommend, because it is very dirty and contaminated, especially on holidays. People brings everything to eat and drink, and in the end, leaving a mountain of garbage that attract rati and volatile in overflowing bins. Unfortunately one other natural beauty of Salvador, destroyed by man.
