We really enjoyed the visit and got a lot out of the guided tour. It acts as a complement to whatever you may see or read while visiting Ouro Preto. It was on our way between Ouro Preto and Mariana, so it was more of...More

Expensive 27 BRL per person to go down 150 meters after 30 minutes of waiting. Exposition is one dirty room in the premises with some instruments and no appropriate description. Down in the mine a guy gives you 5 minutes explanation and then you go...More

Visitors to Ouro Preto (Black Gold) and its surroundings, will come for the beautiful colonial architecture of the place and its grand churches in the typical Baroco Mineiro style. This town had once been one of the richest and most populous places in the world,...More

Don't accept credit card and the value is not fair. Must improve also the tourist safety during the adventure.

You should think about that twice. Our opinion: save your money! The entrance fee is 60 R$ per person and the only nice experience was the ride with the cable car in and out. The young lady working as guide for our group showed no...More

So we haven't seen a mine before, for us, we were fascinated. It's huge so you don't feel closterfobic. There are lights inside and some ground water too that makes it quite interesting. The rise to the inside is quite fun too. Be careful of...More

Definitely a must see in Ouro Preto, a great place to go with family. If you have luck you might go with the good guide. Take money, its very expensive and they don't take credit card (60 reais per person).
