Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Beutiful building with a great cafe and great programs. In the city centre, so you don't have to go out of your way.

Opened in 1916, this was originally the City Hall. It has been restored into a nice coffee shop, with a book shop and exhibition spaces. Would love to have had a coffee, but it was very busy and no tables available when I was there. The coffee shop overlooks a square and flower market. The front side of the building is stunning.

Not many buildings are quite as beautiful and meaningful in Curitiba. The partnership with SESC (the Commerce Association) was a very good idea to keep the building alive and well maintained. The coffee shop on the ground floor is the perfect spot for your tour break and the art exhibitions on the top floor are usually worth visiting. The restauration was well done and it´s a pity they don´t allow access to the old lift, located in the small tower at the front of the buildin, it was the first one installed in the city!

But it is closed all the time. Still, 24 hour security keeps the graffitti artists at bay, and when the place is open its vaulted ceilings and large rooms are definitely worth visiting. Lots of heavy, dark wood. Also, a very nice library, and an internet salon (free but often closed) are available. This place is much nicer when there is something going on, which is often the case. That is why it is closed all the time, to prepare for upcoming events. Did that last sentence make sense?

This place is good, but not too good. What I mean by that is that although the food and coffee are delicious, specially when it's cold outside, everything is so tiny! You should get bigger portions for what you pay here. But the place itself is really cool, there's some kind of museum upstairs where the mayor's office used to be. The building is architecturally interesting as well.

A stately buiding created in the style of the Portuguese court. Their café is relaxing and they ussually have a cultural affair going on, a concert, exhibit, or another equally enjoyable affair.

This was the city hall os Curitiba. The building is from the 10's with a nice work of carved wood. there are big windows to the square, which makes it a perfect place for a hot coffee in a windy day.

This is such a lovely spot, down town Curitiba, looking out onto a flower market and pedestrian square. Recently renovated it boasts beautiful art nouveau carvings in wood, high ceilings and a timeless atmosphere. The cafe offers excellent coffee and snacks, although I do wish they would not heat up quiches in the microwave - it makes the pastry soggy ....

The building has been restaured in recent years and now houses a cultural center. It can be visited for free. The third floor houses nice painting in the ceiling.

Sim, gratuito. Tem um café gostoso e um brownie delicioso, num ambiente agradável. Subindo de elevador tem acesso à antiga prefeitura, uma viagem no tempo. Para quem gosta da história como eu, vão ser momentos prazerosos.
