About
The Parque das Aves is an essential tour for visitors of Foz do Iguassu, located near the Cataratas do Iguassu, beside the Iguassu National Park. In the Parque das Aves you will experience a direct contact with more than 1320 birds from about 143 different species. There are 16.5 hectares of lush Atlantic Rainforest maintained to provide the best habitat for our animals. This is a tour like no other. It is an unique and unforgettable experience in which you will find amazing birds. Enter our immersion aviaries to feel the beat of wings from vibrant macaws and look into the eyes of a toucan. There is plenty to feel and enjoy - beauty is everywhere and that is what motivates us every day to work for the preservation of our fauna and flora. We take into our care birds that are no longer in condition to continue living in nature and keep them in an environment where they can live happily. You are an essential part of this project. All you need to do to help preserve it is to enter into the experience with all your senses.

One of the most amazing things I’ve seen
My mind was blown by the beauty of the park. They took such a good care of each animal, put so much work into preserving them and educating people on how they can help nature and on the essence of the Atlantic rainforest. I am really stunned by this experience.
Hello. Thank you very much for visiting and for your support of our work to conserve species and care for animals rescued from trafficking and mistreatment, unfortunately the case of more than 50% of those who live here. Know that your visit contributed to the maintenance and continuity of this important work in favor of the Atlantic Forest. We're glad you enjoyed it and had a good immersive and awareness-raising experience. Check back often. See you!

    Very nice bird sanctuary
Literally across the street from Iguacu National Park. If you're arriving by taxi you can have them drop you off at the National Park and then pick you up from the bird park. Big spacious habitats for most of the birds, some of which are walk-through (parrots and macaws are both very memorable). We spent a couple hours here in no particular hurry. There are two cafes as well, though we did not try either of them.
Wow, that's a nice review! Thank you so much for your visit and support at Bird's Park. We're so glad to know that we are carrying out our mission to provide visitors with an immersive experience with the exuberants birds of the Atlantic Forest, like the blue Araras. Our work to conservert and care for endangered species and the Forest depends on our visitors, you are the ones who contribute directly to our important projects for the environment and science with the development of various researches in the area of this rich biome. That's why your support is essential. Once again, thank you for your visit and support. You're invited to come and visit us more often. Greetings from Parque das Aves.

    Definitely worth a visit
What a fantastic place, we read some of the reviews online but weren't sure how great it would be, our hotel also recommended a visit so we thought why not and we are so glad we went. Its opposite the visitor centre for the falls so can easily be combined with your trip to the falls, we went first thing and spent a couple of hours leisurely walking around before heading to the falls for the rest of the day. We were really impressed with the spacious habitats for most of the birds and we liked that some of them you can walk through. Well worth a visit as part of your day at the falls.

    Must do in Iguazu
Much better than expected. A must do if you are in Iguazu - they have created a special environment which is seamless. You barely notice the enclosures. We highly recommend this. You get to see all sorts of exotic birds and the environments are very nice. You feel like you are in the forest.
Hi. Thank you a lot for your visit and for sharing your experience at Park. We appreciate your recognition of the work that we do with great dedication and affection in the recovery and preservation of the incredible birds of the Atlantic Forest that are always at serious risk due to environmental damage and human attitudes. All animals under our care have their welfare monitored weekly in order to optimize their condition. During the high season, the Bird's Park receives many visitors. We invite you to come visit us in another period and have a new immersion experience, more peaceful for you. Once more, thanks for your support. We're looking forward to seeing u here again. See ya. Hug.

Amazing bird park - not to be missed.
One of the best bird parks we've ever been to. The layout allows you to see the birds close up and often outside of cages roaming free. It's a very immersive experience - highly recommend it.
Thank you for visiting Parque das Aves ! Lots of beautiful, healthy and happy-looking birds in very large aviaries
Lots of amazing birds, in large aviaries with seemingly plenty of space for them to fly, flock and perch. A lot of the birds have been rescued from the wildlife trade. The scarlet ibises are so striking. The parakeets and macaws are particularly active and noisy. It's great to see the toucans close-up. The trail through lush vegetation works well.
We’re really glad to know that you liked our work! You’re always welcome to come back. Best regards and see you again soon!

    Must see!
We visited the park during our 3 days stay in Foz. It was a suggestion of some of our friends and we are happy having followed it! The park is a conservation site, and also a place in which birds liberated from illegal traffics are recovered. There are lots of written explanations about the birds you can observe, and also kind personnel available to give you some more hints. A must see together with the falls!

    Fabulous birds
Marvelous birds. The display of 15 or so types of parrots and parakeets was fabulous. We stayed over 3 hours and could have stayed an hour more, except that we had to get to the airport. Basically, like fifteen+ of the best zoo bird exhibits you've ever seen all in one place. My impression is that about half the birds are rescued, but not sure.

Beautiful place where animals are very good taken care of. We, people, come through cages to see birds in their natural habitat or there are pens where you can go in. You can see many beautiful colourful parrots, toucans

Loved it. Didnot believe my own eyes looking at some of these birds up close.
We really enjoyed this park as we were amazed how colorful and beautiful some of these birds were. The ticket money goes to preservation of this beautiful park so I was willing to pay 20$ per person. All kinds of birds; we were sad we didnot spot any Tucans. I feel bad I didnot ask what happened to them. Make sure to pay a visit.

We went at 9:30 on a Friday and it was pretty quiet. Nicely presented with just the right amount of info. Particularly pleased to see the Toucans. Really enjoyed it and would recommend you go if you have the time, but it’s not a must do attraction.

After we finished our morning tour of the Iquazu Falls, we didn't know what else to do. Our tour guide suggested this wonderful bird park, and we are delighted that he did. This is an awesome, huge park that every tourist who is in the area should visit. The family that founded this park did such a good deed by trying to preserve all of the precious birds from extinction! We spent three hours walking the trail, seeing the various birds and eating lunch. It was fantastic! The park is well laid out with several bathroom stops and small fast-food restaurants. After you see the falls, be sure to visit this wonderful attraction. You will be delighted!

We visited after the falls but should have left ourselves more time for this nice park.

There is a set trail through lush grounds, with lots to see along the way and different resting areas where you can just relax and watch what flies, swims, flutters or ambles by. The seating in the hummingbird area was particularly enticing.

Icy cold beer in the cafe too - just what you need after a sticky walk around the falls.

Entry is Rs$80 (around £13 UK). We paid in USD at a favourable rate.

Visited this Bird Park after visiting the Brazilian side of Iguazu Falls. The park is well signposted and well maintained and it is literally across the road from the falls. We saw so many beautiful birds and you could see that they are well taken care of as well. There are eating places and the food was actually good and prices very reasonable. Highly Recommended!

This was fun! The Brazilian side of the Falls is a quicker day for sure, so it was great to have something else fun and close by to do. There was a wide variety of birds and other animals around. We enjoyed it!

A wonderful haven for birds. Many endangered species that you may see in books. Wonderful colorfull birds including Makaws, Toucans and large Vultures. Turtles and a butterfly garden made this a shady spot to take a relaxed walk through.

Buying tickets as easy and was inexpensive about US $16 per head. You can walk up to the gate of the park located next door to the Samna hotel and buy your tickets. Allow 1-1/2 hours to take in all the beautiful tropical birds.

There is a large gift shop for souvenirs and some chairs outdoors for relaxing.

I went with low expectations but really enjoyed the bird park. It is quite big giving good space for the animals. They take conservation seriously and really care for the animals. There is a lot to see and not just birds.

Great place to visit after you visit the Falls. We took a cab from the Argentina side and had the driver wait for 90 minutes. The total cost was $40. The facility has several bathrooms, is well maintained and easy to walk around. A must if you have a few hours.

This really a rain forest reserve. There are plant exhibits including cecropia trees with there commensal ants. Butter fly gardens. Birds in huge walk in enclosures. I would guess the enclosures are 3 to 4 stories tall. Our guide to Iguazu falls said this was an optional side trip, but he did not do it justice in his description. This is not just another zoo! This is a selva mata/ tropical rainforest experience.
