Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This place is amazing! Looks like paradise. Sunsets are great on the way back to mainland!!! Make sure you get a mask for snorkeling.

We visited this place as part of a day tour. You have to swim ashore and the waves were fabulous. Beautiful jungle backdrop, lovely water, soft sand. There are no facilities here and it was rather crowded on the day we visited. It would be idyllic on a quieter occasion.

Simply incredible. The beach has no bars or restaurants, so the tip is: take your food. The landscape is incredible, the sea was calm and incredibly blue. We took a taxi boat that left us at Praia das Flechas, there is a 40-minute trail to Praia do Dentista. It's not very well signposted, but local residents helped us. Anyone who goes to Angra cannot miss this paradise.

Something must be done.
Last week I stopped by Praia do Dentista at Ilha da Gipóia, Angra dos Reis to acknowledge the Paradise is almost lost.
Overcrowded, even on an stormy week day, with too many boats splitting oil on the water and an improvised trash landfill on the right corner of the beach made the verdict: the dream scenario blue water white sand green forest beach is almost lost.

The beach itself is beautiful but it is full of poor (of spirit) with rented boat. They barbecue and throw the garbage, including plastic, into the sea. It wasn't worth it.

A perfect beach, beautiful. Atlantic forest at the bottom, very white sands and a transparent and incredibly beautiful sea. Of the most beautiful beaches in Brazil

The beach is not beautiful, moreover, it is a dream: white sand, calm waters, trees that almost reach the shore... it's a shame that there is no control over the number of tourists brought in every day and their behavioral level... and I have always gone there in the winter on weekdays, I fear that in the summer heaven will start to resemble hell given the lack of control.

It's the beach where private boats/boats meet to have a barbecue and there's lots of music. It's very lively
Great for diving, clear and calm waters
Perfect
Schooners pass by the beach but stay for a short time.

The beach is beautiful but it's a huge hole. I went with my husband and a couple of friends, we walked for about 30 minutes - the trail is actually quite peaceful but there are ups and downs, as I'm not an athlete it was a little tiring and all I wanted was to dive in and relax. And then the surprise: the beach full of speedboats, loud music (which is prohibited) and very little space to enjoy the sea. We went back at the same time and looked for another beach which was also soon taken over by speedboats. This cannot be allowed, the boats come very close to the beach, leaving little space for those on the sand to dive.
