You need to walk something like 3 hours all the way down to the beach or buy a taxiboat and then walk 20 minutes. What you can do is to walk the way on through the jungle (you will even see some monkeys) and take...More

We arrived early brought by taxi boat to another beach. After a 20 min walk we reach the beach where we met only one other person an argentinian tourist we suspect to have slept on the beach. For the rest an empty beach except for...More

This is really one of the most beautiful beaches I have seen in the world - pure, white and soft sand (no mud, sea shells, mini stones) all the way into the ocean, beautiful landscape and pure nature. Boats aren't allowed to anchor here thus...More

Myself and my husband visited this beach whilst staying on Isla Grande. We took a 40 minute boat journey from Abraao, then when you arrive at the dock it’s about a 20 minute walk through the forest to the beach. The walk through is a...More

We were quite luckily visiting this nice beach with beautiful weather. It’s really amazing, with white sand beach like the Caribbean. We took a private boat to go there, please also be aware that you have to walk 20-30 mins as the boats will not...More

This is probably the best beach at Ilha Grande. Best experience is to go on the long jungle trail to reach it. Lots of waves so not really for kids but otherwise good for relaxing. Bring water and snacks. You´ll return with a taxi boat.

I'm very glad I made the effort to get to this beach but it was an effort and not suitable for all. We arrived on a cruise ship so it was a busier day but the beach was still very quiet and beautiful. There were...More

The easiest (and perhaps the only) way to reach this beach is by boat from Vila do Abraão for one hour and then half an hour hike in the forest, but it’s definitely worth it! White sand, crystal clear water and ocean waves hitting the...More

This is a really good trail. The hardest bit is the first half and it should take the average person 2.5-3 hours. Take a big bottle of water and some bananas and you'll be fine. There are restaurants along the way if you need anything...More

You should definitely go! I'd give it a 5, but I think the plastic garbage was off-putting. Still, you won't see it until after you've had your "awe, its sooo beautiful" moment. Enjoy! And walk slowly from the boat so you get a chance to...More
