The walk to Dois Rios - on a road through the rain forest - is an adventure. It's a great way to see some nature on Ilha Grande. The walk from the Village of Abraao takes about 2 hours - one hour uphill and one...More

Beautiful beach. Very busy. No accommodation and taxi boats here are rude and extortionate- they will stall you for as long as they can and lie about boat times leaving etc. So frustrating we walked back 8km to Abraão. Local restaurant largely ignored us because...More

The most beautiful beach in Ilha Grande, in my opinion. Calm and relaxing. About 2h walking, but it is worth visiting. Medium-level trail. You can go there by foot or by taxi boat. There are no restaurants, but you can find locals selling meals.

The village of Dois Rios is almost like a ghost town, with very few residents and quite a few houses taken back by nature. It is very interesting in its own way and all the residents we chatted with were very helpful. Recommended.

Definetly a must see in the island. Don't let the walking distance change your mind. The village itself seems abandoned but the beach is wonderful, specialy on both ends of it. Hiring a mountain bike is a good choice to reach Dois Rios more quickly...More

The Dois Rios Beach worthy the trail (about 2 hours, with a stop at the soldier's pool), not the village. But, considering that the village is on the way to the beach, stop by and see the old prison and some abandoned houses,

Well, it´s not worthy making a two hours trail from Abraao Village to Dois Rios Village, but it certainly is to do so to reach Dois Rios Beach (magnificent!). But, as Dois Rios Village is in the way, take a half hour there to drink...More
