Worth a look when walking around Paraty. Lovely little church with nice views around it. Still in use today.

This church is part of Brazil´s history. It is centenary and it was made by slaves. Also, part of Paraty landscape. Every famous picture you see from Paraty includes this church and the bay. Religion there is nothing to be with the fact that this church is art and part of a country´s history. Enjoy!

one of the main problems in brazil, a reason for poverty , guilt complexes and unneccasary suffering, is the catholic church. stay away from this church and any other chirch if you want to stay free and happy !!

The best view from the church is the setting in the landscaping one has when approaching it from the Sea. It is a must see view in Paraty. All the photos from Paraty have the church, the mounatins in the background and the bay.

Charming, gorgeous, but deserving more care from the competent authorities. But that small church is really a rare baroque treasure in the heart of the historical Paraty.
