Helio's class was effective and engaging....my wife and I enjoyed the company and instruction! The night club outing with our other classmates made for a fun night out too! We were there in August 2016 during the Olympics....Helio is GREAT!!!!

The samba instructor , Patrick, was good. We learned a lot in just one hour. And we had a great time afterwards in the Samba club, good live music and good dancers in the club.

I attended the class in late June 2015. They took us to Carioca Da Gema (which is also recommended in Lonely Planet). However, they made it seem like they rotated the places based on the day inside Lapa District.

It is a walking distance but never do that. Take a cab, it does not cost much.
