Great location, amazing sea view, but it is very touristic and not particular safe. For a more attractive spot walk towards Ipanema/Leblon.

in this avenue you will find lots of bars, restaurants, hotels, the beach is enormous and it has stunning views of the city, they have people playing live music in a lot of bars especially at sunset

It had glorious day. Now, is dangerous, crowded, expensive, huge traffic Jam. In Rio o preferência Barra da Tijuca beach, clean, beautiful people and not dangerous. Barra has also newerst hotels

Beautiful sceneries, warm people, great climate, nice shopping, good diving! Many homeless in streets though...Heavy traffic (as expected), and LOTS of graffitis, some nice, some gang style...

Join the rest of the Cariocas enjoying their morning exercise - walking, running, bicycling or just people watching.

walk along Avenida Atlantica during the day or night and you will experience Rio at its best. the day is filled with restaurants, and beaches and at night you will see the artists, markets, samba dancing, musicians and have a full night of entertainment at your leisure. A wonderful experience that you do not have to plan ahead of time

Best at day, the walk along Avenida Atlantica is a must while in Rio. There are ample places to grab reasonably priced drinks and food and lots of people watching available.

Mile after mile of beach and ocean. This is Rio, the beach, people, restaurants and high rise hotels. What a site and I loved it.

Thank Charles L

Staying in Copacabana

Neighbourhood Profile
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.
