Pedra Da Gavea is incredible beautiful as well as difficult hiking route, therefore you should be prepared to pour some sweat. I arrived to the Parque Nacional Da Tijuca by a city bus. It took about 4 hours to get to the top and down but I was hiking pretty rapidly. The nice panoramas, different trail surfaces demanding some climbing... More

Amazing view of Rio. Wonderful experience. At some point near the top things get a little more challenging. Better to go with someone that know local people and the tracks.

Hire a good tourguide and go to the top of the mountain: it's just wonderful and magic! But it's a long and wild path and need a lot of energy. Anyway,... More

Hang gliding in Rio de Janeiro is one of the most popular wind sports practiced in Rio. You will have the unique sensation of flying like a bird, with a light breeze of tropical air in your face and surrounded by the beautiful mountains and beaches of Rio de Janeiro.

For the adventurous up for a tough hike this is a must while in Rio! Unfortunately we had bad luck with cloud cover so made it to the top without being able to see the view but the hike was still incredible and quite the adventure. Be sure to have more days to do this in case of bad weather... More

Definitely give this a go if you visit Rio. It can be hard to some but really worth it. And you will be very proud of yourself.

If you like extreme sport, beautiful views, and amazing pictures this is the place to go. The hike and rock climbing is approximate 7 hours in total if you don’t have much experience. If you’re an experience climber, I’m sure it will be a lot less than that. I don’t recommend this attraction for kids or the elderly. It’s highly... More

Since the Rio Olympics and the opening of the metro's new line 4 (yellow), one can now travel within walking distance of Pedra da Gavea for only 4.10 R$. Take the metro to the "Jardim Oceanico" station. From here, it's a 2km (10 minute) walk to the entrance of Tijuca national park and the trail that leads to Pedra da... More
