Thanks to locals we met at a bar, we were told about this place! And is it's relatively unknown it's still free to visit, it's all natural and a bit rough around the edges, and there are hardly any people there - just pure beauty! You do require a certain amount of physical ability to get up there, and more importantly to get down. And do NOT go there if it is or has been raining, it's slippery as it is, and would be very dangerous when wet. Another warning - the water is freezing! We only made it up to the 2nd waterfall as the sun started to set and didn't want to climb down in the dark, but it was still worth it - a must for anyone visiting Rio.
