I really like the Beco das Garrafas! I like to go and take whatever there is on, it is good music and wonderful atmosfere! No fuss, shorts and havaianas would be fine, the audience participate and the drinks and service are just fine!
This place, along with the Little Club next door, are wonderful places for Brazilian jazz. The other reviews here capture the highlights. Short version is that you go for the music, as that's why everyone else goes there. You aren't going to get great food...More
When you’re in Rio, you’re going to want an evening of bossa nova, so you would be wise to visit the Little Club of Beco das Garrafas. This translates to “Alley of Bottles” and is the birthplace of this musical style. The entertainment here is...More
Despite out hotel trying to send us to a jazz concert we persevered and found this funky little venue that provided five star music. We wanted a local place that would have local music. We came here twice. The first night was a great Bossa...More

I go here many times without knowing who is singing. Almost never disappointed. I am afan of Amanda Bravo, who usually sings on Fridays. Check out the site. Limited menu of snacks and drinks. But music is the attraction! And bossa nova is it’s mainstay.
I don’t know if last night was just special but the music was just superb. Our waiter Reginaldo was awesome. We tried the Brazilian cakes which were good. Tried the caipirinhas which were excellent. This little gem reminded me so much of New Orleans that...More
loved this old school, small but quaint bar for listening to fantastic Bossa Nova. Loved every minute of being here. the singer and guitarist we saw were amazing. If you are into jazz music, try this place for sure! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful
draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.
