Wear a quality sunblock and recover during day and you will enjoy your stay. The cool breeze and ocean temperature are so comfortable you can have an extended stay on beach therefore wear sunblock. Food, clothing and beverage vendors walk the beach. I enjoyed the convenience. We sat under umbrella with chairs that were provided by the vendor. Just tell... More

The sea has usually strong currents and waves, does not feel safe. However, the sand is soft and pleasant to walk on along the beach.

It is sandy but narrow depends on the tides. A Bresser make you feel less hot as the temperature. Nice dunes around.

It's a beautiful beach but not well taking cared. You see trash all over the streets and at night you have to be aware of pick pockets. The beach is crowded. It's worth to go and stay for a few days

Excellent beach for a nice long run, except at high tide, but for hours a day the sand is packed and super comfortable to walk or run. The water is clean and with easy waves, which makes this beach also a great place for a family swim. This is one of the best beaches at a city that I have... More

The most affluent area of the city and also where most tourists stay. There is the Ponta Negra beach and most upscale hotels, shopping malls and restaurants. It used to be regarded as being significantly calmer and safer than other large cities but apparently it is not anymore. Just be careful when walking around.
