Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

São Pedro theatre is an architectural jewel located downtown Porto Alegre. Its acoustics is excellent and thanks to the efforts of Eva Sopher, it is fully functioning with the same beauty of those times of yore.

This centenary building harbours one of the best theatres in Brazil. It was finely restored over more than twenty years to reopen to its former glory two decades ago. It has now been joined by a modern cultural complex, the ao called Multipalco. Check for attravtions. Concerts, shows, ballet and plays are often happening here. Visit the theatre even if there is nothing going on. Guided visits can be arranged and a nice cafe serves you with a nice view of the adjoining squarr.

The São Pedro Theater is a landmark in the city. Open more than one century ago, it's restauration was beautifully accomplished. The theater has it's own chamber orchestra, and a good musical calendar. It also offers opera and stage performances.

One of the oldest buildings in the city, this theatre was completely renewed and reopened doors to public almost 20 years ago. It's classified as the most prestigious stage to act while in Porto Alegre. For the last 5 years or so, they have been building an extension to the main building, with other smaller rooms, parking lot and one delicious restaurant (open only Mon-Sat for lunch time). Worth visiting it!

This place is history live. Founded in 18th century is well kept. Total capacity is low. Around 600 seats. Good acoustics. Appreciated to watch my daughter presenting her ballet act during the international dance festival this year. People all around the globe were there. Comments were good about the venue. I'm proud to have such art space close to us.

This is a MUST-DO while in Porto Alegre. It is not only iconic, but it offers a superb experience for musical performances, from instrumental orchestra to musicals. The acoustics of this theater is widely known and recognized. The seating arrangement is also good, no mater the seating. The food court is also fantastic. There are parking spots around, and it is easily accessible via public transit.
