Located in Sao Paulo downtown in a renewed old train station this concert room is considered a brazilian jewel. Don't loose the opportunity to see magnificient concerts that take place in that room. The acustic accustic performance is amazing.

An old train station transformed into a wonderful concert hall. One of the best in the southern hemisphere, both in sound quality and the environment!

Best place in Brazil to listen to music. Listing of programmes available invthe midia. Government sponsord programmes at reasonable prices exist. Highly recommend if ypu enjoy classical music. The building was and still is part of a railway station modelled on London 's Victoria Station. Food and mini shop (cultural items) available. A very special place.

Beautiful concert hall in renovated former train station, worth the visit just for the architecture. The music program is good although a bit on the conservative side and nothing like one is used from European or U.S. orchestras. The surroundings are dodgy, next to the concert hall there are many crack addicts but the region has improved quite a lot... More

This is one of the best concert rooms I've seen, even when compared to European ones. It is at the heart of the city (avoid area during the night), right beside a subway station. The room's accoustics are superb and the concerts are pretty high class, but also popular.

Home of São Paulo Simphony Orchestra. Excellent acoustic and impressive auditorium architeture. A former railway station (still partially is). Tickets for orchestra concerts and other music events should be bought in advance. Public free visits to premises available. You can get there by subway lines blue and yellow. Neighborhood requires some care, specially at night. Close attractions: Pinacoteca (arts museum),... More

When the municipality decided to remodel this old train station into a modern concert hall, it was to be the beginning of the reclamation of one of the most decrepit areas of the city. For the place, it worked, alas, it hasn't worked for the area yet. The Julio Prestes Cultural Center is situated in the Luz region of São... More
