The emerald heart of an oftentimes gray city, São Paulo's Parque do Ibirapuera offers respite from the urban madness among cool, shady trees and mentally-stimulating structures. Running trails, bike paths, and yoga and capoeira sessions let locals and visitors alike keep fit, while a clutch of museums and galleries — such as the museums of Modern and Contemporary Art, all designed by master Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer — gives the brain a good workout. The impressive Museu Afro Brasil and fiery Auditório Ibirapuera are two of the park's treasures.

Wow no words to describe this amazing park. Prepare to enjoy people around you enjoying the park in all ways, fitness, family fun, meditating, relaxing, museums, my favorite was the Japanese pavilion. Small but enchanting.

This is a humongous park! It is a great reprieve from the hustle and bustle of São Paulo. You can ride bikes, go on the lake, get food, buy souvenirs...and probably do a lot of other things that I simply don't know about because it's...More

This park has it all! There are tennis and basketball courts,, running paths, bike paths, museums, and more. It is a gorgeous place to spend the day, picknick, or even a great place to workout on a daily basis.

Nice park with a lake, biking lanes, covered skating area; hosting a sleek auditorium by Niemayer and the Museum of Modern Art (MAM), which in turns sports a restaurant which serves good meals. Out of it, just on the other side of a busy road,...More

Took an early morning run down to the park, feels very safe with lots of other runners and cyclists about. Lots of fauna and the park is really clean and tidy.

There you can feel an amazing energy during the whole day. You can walk and learn more of Brazilian history just watching their Niemeyer buildings or the KOBRA graffiti.
