About
taú Cultural is an institute dedicated to the research and production of content as well as mapping, fostering and dissemination of artistic and intellectual expressions. In this way, it contributes to the enhancement of the culture of a society as complex and diverse as Brazil. By considering culture a key tool to the construction of the country's identity and an effective means to promote citizenship, Itaú Cultural seeks to democratize and encourage social participation. A center of cultural reference, for 28 years the institute has been promoting and propagating the Brazilian output - both in and out of the country. Its programs - such as Rumos - as well as its mission and vision emphasize the institute's consistent distinctive features that place it among the most important cultural institutions in Brazil.

Neighbourhood:
Sé, which derives its name from Sé Square, is a central neighbourhood in historic São Paulo. Close by, the Law School, the Museum of the Court of Justice and the Metropolitan Cathedral offer inspiring architecture. If you are looking for cultural activities, head to Caixa Cultural and check the schedule. In the area there is a popular pedestrian street called “Rua Direita”, one of the first streets in the region, which today marks the crowded perimeter. Sé is a great area to explore during daytime, but use caution if visiting alone at night.

An excellent option to visit when you are in São Paulo! It is located on Av. Paulista, near "Brigadeiro" Station and entry is free!

It has a wonderful structure. There is a cafe and water drinkers.

The infrastructure is also designed to serve people with some physical limitations. Everything is very well organized and clean.

You must leave your belongings in the locker when entering.

On the 6th floor, we find the history of Brazil told through banknotes, stamps, and all existing coins and medals. On the floors below, we see other exhibitions, with paintings by various artists representing the beauty of Brazilian fauna and flora. On the ground floor, there is always a new exhibition for the public.

We visited this beautiful center. It had some school groups. Free entrance. There are multiple floors. You can take the elevator. We enjoyed walking around looking at the paintings of birds and flowers. The coin collection was so interesting. You have a little magnifying glass to see better. We enjoyed an exhibit about photography from a model. A must visit

If you're walking on Paulista Ave. with nothing to do, try Itau Cultural.
There is always something good, usually for free, going on there!
If not, you can at least have a nice coffee at a pleasent place.

I've been several times and I love coming back always. It has great temporary exhibitions and an excellent collection of its own. It is also a good place to have a coffee and eat a snack.

This institute displays the collection of the founder of the bank. Valuable documents and coins and medals are in display and provide a good summary of the histor of Brazil. Not as heralded as other museums this collection provides a valuable addition. It also has rotating exhibits on the lower level.
