We visited old Nessebar for an afternoon since it was only across the bay by boat from where we were staying. We weren’t under any illusion to what to expect, but thought give it a try. When we arrived in the harbour we were met...More

The hubby and myself were there for one week. We got the b&b deal, so breakfast we had at hotel. We were eating out at restaurants every night for dinner and lunch and then a few (2-3) drinks with dinner. Bought 7 grandkids souvenirs, went on a couple tours and made it a point to tip very well at restaurant and to our housekeeper at hotel. Iam a real keeper of how much I spend on holidays, we took 500.00 euros worth (1000.00 liv) over with us,at airport we bought 3 cartons of cigarettes and burger king and still had 10 liv left over out of the 1000.00 liv we took over. Things are cheap there and retailers on the streets and market stalls expect you to barter with them on price. Min wage is 2.50 liv an hour there, so please be nice to anyone who serves you. Enjoy!
