It is nice to visit there to reach Tha Htay Gyun hotel for boat trip. It is ordinary small port of southern Myanmar and more clean that that of other Jetty. We reached there March 2017

Tourists doing the visa run to get another 3 month Thai visa come here as it is only 30 minutes by boat from the Raining Thai harbor. Divers also come through here to get their special diving only visa permits before diving the Mergui Archipelago....More

Kawthoung port is a a boder Thailand and Myanmar. It is a panoramic view. It is a very beautiful and famous.

This is just a small port with a floating jetty to dock the boats. There is a small garden beside the jetty and the restaurant near that is good.

Thats i small boarder town, all the visa run boats from Ranong Thailand go there, there are some hotel there and restaurants
