Very simple architecture, with a small bell tower. It was closed when we passed by. Worth some minute stop along the way

This is a quaint church sitting in the man square. It is quite simple in construction with brown adobe walls on the outside and just plain white painted walls in the inside. The timbered roof is quite interesting and unusual. Overall effect inside is plain...More

We stopped in the town for lunch so had a little time to visit the church. It is unusual as the bell tower is not attached to the church itself. Inside is pretty basic which is expected in such a rural setting

If you are wandering around the town of San Pedro de Atacama, do be sure and take a little time to step into this lovely old church built in the 1500's using no nails! A lovely respite from the sun and bustle.

A little village where we stopped off on a day tour. It had an interesting little church, and some ladies knitting and selling souvenirs. That’s about the sum of it .......

This small church is worth a visit as you are passing through the village of Socaire. The roof beams are made from cactus. Be careful of your head as you enter the small ante room.

This church is definitely better looking on the outside as it is from the inside. The inside is very basic and unimpressive, but the outside is unique and nice to look at.
