Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Despite the valley’s crude name the whole place radiates peace and unbelievable natural beauty. We came across upon returning from El Tatio Geysers. The valley is like a painting! Everything is bright blue and green and yellow and the abundant wild life of vicunas, flamingos and birds and in the backdrop the snow capped volcanoes is simply astonishing. Not to be missed.

Visited this place upon returning from El Tatio Geyser field. The valley is absolutely beautiful. Got to see lots of wildlife including some Guanacos, Vicunas, Flamingos and several birds. Also could see parts of Bolivia in the distance. Certainly would very highly recommend visiting same to any traveler.

Our tour bus stopped here and let us walk about for a half hour. We spotted vicuña, coots, a flamingo , ducks and many other birds in this lovely wetland. It’s definitely worth some of your time if you love be nature.

This is not a destination attraction but a stopping point on the way back from El Tatio but very well worth stopping. Beautiful photo opportunities of both the bird life and the stunning landscape.

It's a place where you stop coming back from El Tatio.
It has nothing really interesting to see except for the story referred to the name.

We were dropped of one side of the valley and walked around across a bridge and up the other side. We saw loads of different wading birds and best of all I spotted a mouse the size of a rabbit( it is famous)

14,000 feet of altitude, but you can drive to most scenic views. Lots of waterfowl and Vicuna. Good view od volcanoes and old mining communities.A guide with a four wheel drive is advisable

After you've visited the Tatio geysers, your trip will hopefully stop here for a while.
A beautiful wetlands area, with abundant bird life and great scenery. Just right for photography away from the desert for a change.
A must-see.

We were expecting so little from this tour.
In the end, we did not want it to end.
We saw almost all Chilean or Andean desertic animals, birds, and geology.
Things never to be forgotten.
