Amazing tour with Margerita! Not a massive group, lots of great relevant information and tons of enthusiasm. We did another tour to the geyser through the same company and we weren’t nearly as impressed.
We have had an excellent experience with Flamingo tour company during our time in San Pedro de atacama. All the guides we met were very knowledgeable and helpful. Company runs very smoothly, good meals and busses.
Just wanted to specially mention our guide Carolina -...More

Of course, I recommend you to start slowly, by the heights, ideally visit first the town of San Pedro de Atacama, where at first it is already a bit difficult, because of the height, walking tires a little, because it is a bit difficult to breathe, but it is a matter of habit, a fact in the town can find sweets to taste and coca leaves to make a tea, consuming them will make it easier to stay at 2,408 meters. Then visit the Valley of the Moon and Valley of Death, then to the Altiplanic Lagoons that includes the Salar de Atacama, then to the Geyser del Tatio, and leave for the end the Salar de Tara where they will reach heights close to 4,500 meters , this last place is wonderful, it is a full day tour, there are other tours, at night, to hot springs, etc., but these are the main ones and very beautiful. If you have more time you can visit the Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia, for this they require about 4 days, it is quite hard yes, because you have to stay in not very humid places, sleep at high (near the 5,000 meters above sea level) that sometimes makes it hard to sleep and it's quite cold, if you want to do this tour, do not skimp on expenses. Well I hope you can visit these dreamed places and enjoy, your eyes and soul will be filled with magic and colors. Wear comfortable clothes, cold and extreme heat. The name of the guide in Flamingo Agency is Sophie, a Frenchwoman who has lived in Chile for many years.
