Not a cheap attraction, but worth the visit for the number of hot springs. Your hotel should be able to assist with discount tickets. Our family (2adults, 2kids aged 11yrs) cost us 120 Yuan per child, 160 per adult (usually around 298 pp). And just be warned that in China, a child is based NOT on age, but on height below 150cm (weird I know). Our girls are right on 150cm and they tried to charge them as adults!
There are around 20 pools with varying 'flavours' such as red wine, jasmine, green tea. The 'kissing fish' (that nibble the dead flesh off your feet) pool costs extra (we didn't do that). Make sure you try the 'pebble pool' which has red coloured smooth pebbles which is heavenly to sink your feet into (or lie in). Make sure you visit in the afternoon (it is open from 1030 to 2230), as the pools will then be filled (previous reviews have mentioned that it takes a while for them to set up in the morning).
When you enter the pools you will be issued a wristband for a locker to put your belongings into (the locker room is the first stop!). Then you walk into the shower/toilet rooms before going outside to the pools. Towels, 'croc' type sandals, soap, spoo and cond are provided.
And if you go to the lounge (towards the back left of the complex), free tea and sponge cakes are provided!
Our girls loved it, and it was certainly a welcome attraction after our previous 2 days walk!
We caught the bus from Tankou (where we were staying) which cost 11 yuan pp one way. (Our hotel the Bing Yue Business hotel, arranged for the bus to pick us up and dropped us off).

We arrived in tangkou planning to hike huangshan however we awoke to -2 degrees and heavy snow so decided instead to spend the day soaking at the hot springs. From the tangkou bus terminal there is a bus that takes you directly to the hot springs. Bus tickets are purchased at the terminal and cost ¥11 per person and takes about 20mins.
We purchased our tickets for the huangshan hot springs from our hotel and cost ¥148 each. The staff at reception speak English. Remember to bring some cash as you will need to give them a ¥200 deposit for the locker key. They provide lockers for your valuables, slippers, towels, hot showers and beauty products (hairspray, moisturizer, combs, hair dryer) in the ladies change room. There are plenty of different baths available (coffee scented, lavender etc) and some baths range in temperatures but most baths were about 40 degrees ( on a snowy day it was fantastic way to warm up). The baths and other facilities were modern and clean. It was really quiet and there was hardly any other guests using the facilities so we always found ourselves soaking in a bath to ourselves.
The hot springs venue is outdoors and coved with large trees and look out over a tree covered mountain, it looks spectacular covered in snow. It was picture perfect. Throughout the venue there were drink stations with free and tasty hot ginger tea. There is also a restaurant at the venue, they provided free tea, water and a buffet of freshly cut fruits, cookies and cakes. You can also purchase other foods but at a cost. It was a very relaxing day and well worth the visit. The hot springs has a private bus running every hour on the hour back into tangkou, it cost ¥11 per person and dropped us out the front of our hotel.

It's bit hard to find from the Hotspring bus stop. Walk straight until you can cross a bridge over the river on your left. From there there are signs.
I came here after a couple days of cold, snowy, hiking wanting to relax and warm-up. The hot springs were great in this regard. There are many pools set in a very artistic Chinese garden with nice scenery all around. They are differentiated by what's added to the water. Some have green tea others have ginseng or coconut etc. Also some are warmer than others, the warmest ones are 41 or 42 centigrade, the coolest maybe 38. There is also free tea to drink and some quiet Chinese-y music in the background.

I was lucky to go on a snowy day so it was gorgeous soaking in the various pools with snow falling overhead. The price is not cheap if you go alone without reservations I think the cost was 280 rmb and it is only a few hours maximum of soaking. However you get access to a very nice locker room with towels and soap/shampoo provided as well as combs, q-tips and hair dryers. I arrived tired cold and wet but left warm, dry and relaxed. Given the price I am not sure I would go again but I definitely am glad I went.

We hit up the hot springs after a few days hard core up the mountain. We were sorrreeeee and SO excited to soak in the hot springs. It was perfect - even warm enough for us in late December.

Super nice at reception, they even kept our big rucksack and lead us to the shower rooms and lockers. All super nice, we showered and walked downstairs to the hot springs. It was surreal walking into this weird place, people giggling and walking about semi clothed while the mountain loomed over us... there was Chinese version of all our Christmas carols playing :)

As soon as you get into one of those pools you don't care about anything else. We went into the Vitamin C, coconut milk, red wine, ginseng plus we had a dip in the pool full of those little fish that eat your skin. Poor wee things, their water was really warm..

There's a chill out section in the middle serving hot water (staple) and warm ginger tea.

Perfect chill out place after Huangshan. Just remember to bring a bikini. I had the joy of buying one on site. It was a nice frilly pink polka two-piece. Wheet wheel. <3

The hot-spring is filled with different "flavors". There are at least 10 different flavors, if I remember correctly, they are: Rose Petals, Brown Rice, Green Tea, Red Wine, Vitamin C, Coconut Milk, Coffee, Ginseng, Aicao (type of herb) and Plain.
It is a great after a long hike down the mountain, or if you are just travelling around, the hot-spring do help in relaxation.
The cost of the entrance for each is 238rmb, not inclusive of 100rmb for deposit. One tip is you can purchase at a cheaper rate (a lot cheaper about 158rmb) when you buy it from your hotel or hostel when you stayed in tangkou.
You can reach there by bus/coach at 11rmb each.

You can hike down to the hot springs (10 - 20 min) from the Taiping cable car. Most people go by bus, but this short walk is beautiful and peaceful and definitely worth it.

The entrance fee for the hot springs were a little steep (198 Yuan per person). We were not happy with this seeing as most of the springs were empty, however the ones that were full were lovely. We especially enjoyed the Rose - and Red wine infused springs as well as the one with fish that nibble at your feet.

The hot springs are located next to the mountain and surrounded by beautiful plants, flowers and gazebos - so you have stunning views and it creates a very relaxed atmosphere.

Make sure you don't go in the dead heat of the day seeing as the springs are already very hot and shade is limited.

You needn't take your own towel or shower accessories, as you are supplied with towels, shower gel, shampoo, hair dryers, brushes, flip flops and lockers.

This was a wonderful treat and it made us feel refreshed after 2 days hiking on Mt. Huangshan.

The bus stop is not far from the springs - walking distance and only costs 11 Yuan.

Great place to go after getting down from the actual mountains!

A bit overpriced (~290 RMB without reservation during off-season), but very interesting to try the various pools they had. Not every pool was open during our visit, but the views and the lesser amount of people here compared to on the mountains made it worthwhile.

They have their own busses, which run until the springs close at 10 pm, and conveniently takes you to downtown Tangkou where you can easily catch a taxi.

The springs are located where the roads for temple valley cable car and cloud valley cable car split. So since the springs are open much later than the cable cars, our suggestion is to go to the springs directly after getting down the cable car. It is even walking distance from the temple valley cable car.

And for reference, this place actually accepts international credit cards and have some staff who do speak English.

This place is not cheap but is absolutely worth it especially after a long day of trek. the hot pools under the open sky with the stunning view of the yellow mountain are unforgettable. Together with my wife I also had a great foot massage! Do not miss the free cakes in the upper floor:)

We visited the Hot springs after spending 2 days at Huangshan mountains. It is quite easy to find the place, the bus from the lift has a stop there. The place itself is nice and clean; wonderful nature around; music. We relaxed in different bathes with hot water and some adding like green tea, red wine etc. it is the best thing you can do for your body after days of climbing mountains. The only thing I did not like is the price, 238 CNY is too much. Al the rest is great.

Located very close to Mercy light temple (entrance to the west way to summit Huangshan) you can access it by bus (19 rmb). We could enjoy hot springs from 39 to 42 celsius degrees with gingsen, red wine, rice or flower bath to relax and take care of our poor legs after downing stair 9 km from huangshen’s summit. Building is getting old and locker room, sauna or hammam are not in good shape! But if you can focus in the hot spring and the beautiful landscape and nature around and forget small inconvenient of the building you will really enjoy and relax your body and your mind. Price is 198 per people per day. Massage are also provided if you like.
We recommend it strongly.
