Excellent traffic-free paved paths are available along the river for bike tours. It is not really necessary to take a raft for the (same) scenery, but if you do, this is the place to take the _real bamboo rafts without engines_! On the larger Li River, only fake pvc bamboo rafts with motors are available due to the stronger current.

Don't pay for the entrance fee as we can actually cycle the whole river and view the river for free.

This river and its surroundings are like a picture book fairytale of farming Chinese culture. The river is a source of meditation and contemplation despite the growth in tourism.

The rafting was part of our tour, and I was a bit anxious about boarding given my knee problems, and wow, my swollen feet! It was relaxing, and the driver was very helpful, so if mobility is an issue, it is still suitable. One of the most peaceful and relaxing part of our trip, the views are magnificent, and just... Great day travelling by raft down river, the small cascades are fun and if combined with a cycle ride to Moon Hill you will have a truly wonderful experience.

The views are truly incredible, The boat is very peaceful and it is reasonably priced. I would go right before they close as you can see the sunset

Going by bike to Yulong River and back by a rafting tour, the bike waited for me at the end of the tour. Except of not understanding my guide on the raft, I enjoyed every minute on the river.

15 years ago this area must have been amazing, BUT sadly Like everything in this part of the world the Yulong river is past its best due to tourism. The entire area is at saturation with bamboo rafts and people hassling you. Yes, you can still take many good pictures and it still is pretty but its been ruined. I... More

Take a real bamboo raft down the Yulong River. It's just a couple and the boat-man who uses a bamboo pole to push you along. Your feet will get wet if you don't hold them up! This was one of my favorite things to do in Yangshuo. Beautiful location to take photos and a peaceful and serene experience. I hope... More
