You can really see more and scenery is better. No need for a motor boat to take you around. You will see some people around the river going by their business and possibly a Cormoran fisherman in costumes!!!

Loved biking through the mountains and down the river. Gets you away from all the tourists and you really get to meet the locals. And the view is awesome. Plus it's really cheap... Rented a bike for 5usd a day

Nice area for biking in Yangshuo - once you get past all the tourist traps at entrance to scenic area.

Our family of five, rode two bamboo rafts down the Yulong River on April 3. We had two great raft "captains" who made the whole experience quite interesting. The were joking with us the whole trip down. We happened to catch a day when the river was open to rafting as it was closed a number of days due to... More

I did a bamboo raft ride on the upper part of the river which took approximately 2hours. I was fortunate enough to experience this both in the rain and the warm sun and it was by far the highlight of my visit in Yangshuo. Don't miss it and make sure you relax and enjoy it - I hardly ever have... More

We took the upper section of the Yulong River bamboo raft ride, starting from Jinlong Bridge, ended at Juxien Village. We took a delightful lunch at Secret Garden. Even though we did not stay, Faye graciously took us around Secret Garden and called a taxi for us. Taxi fare from Secret Garden to Yangshuo Mountain Resort was Rmb50. We passed... More

Clearly, as other reviewer's have indicated, this is the 'must do' if one is visiting Yangshuo and the weather is even remotely cooperating. Better for a warm day with clear sky to enjoy the view, this is a most enjoyable way to take in the natural beauty of the area. Wear shorts and footwear you are prepared to have splashed,... More
