Best viewed from bamboo raft on the river which we did, really cheerful and good energy by all the boatman and their passengers.
Note the one boatman on his cell.
An entire family are having lunch on their bamboo raft seated at a table with benches.
So very social and friendly.
One girl called out from another raft "where you from" due to my size and obviously a foreigner" "South Africa" I replied, "Wow" she said.

The Yulong Bridge is about a 30 mins drive away from Yangshuo main area (West Street). We went in the evening and the lighting was amazing. Luckily for us, the bridge was not very crowded when we were there. There weren't many umbrellas lined along the river as well. We really enjoyed bamboo rafting down the Yulong river, it was a very quaint and peaceful experience for us.

Take the bamboo raft from zhuoyue dock, much cheaper and you will get a nice ride under the Yulong Bridge and also get the chance to go down a water hill with the raft and be pictured (if you want, it is 20 Yuan per person. You can take your own video instead)

Do this, really! I have come to Yangshuo many times and did not come to this area or the river because I thought it too touristy, I was wrong.
The hassle free way (meaning you don't have to bargain and end up paying the same anyway) is take a tour that includes the rafting 160 pet person. Or if you cycle up there and raft down to jiuxian (very worth a look) takes about 1.30 hours and costs 200 to 240 a raft holding 2 people.
If you want to stop the raft, point to where and say 'TING'
Hope this helps, if useful please tick the useful box so I can feel your love ;)
Thanks

I love Yangshuo County it's stunning. Such beauty and worth every second even though the river was in full flood.

Yulong Bridge, the Dragon Bridge and Fuli Bridge are within close proximity of about 1 km radius from each other. It is walkable and do not need a bicycle or motorbike. I took a bus from Baisha Town, paid RMB4 for the journey and alighted at the Dragon Bridge.
There is a boarding jetty at the Dragon Bridge if you are going for the bamboo raft ride. It cost RMB320 for two persons for the bamboo raft to bring the two down the Yulong River to a town called Jiuxian. I wasn't interested in the bamboo rafting. I just came here to look at the scenery.
From the Dragon Bridge, it took me about half an hour to walk to Yulong Bridge. The summer hot weather in August was terrible. The road was steaming with heat and even with an umbrella in my hand, I could feel the afternoon heat wave burning my face. It is imperative to drink a lot of water if you are hiking in the hot summer. I cut across few farms growing corns and vegetables. The acres of green farmland stretched for miles and with the karst mountain range at the backdrop, the countryside scenery was beautiful.
The Yulong Bridge was an old stone bridge, nothing really spectacular about this bridge. It resembles those arch bridges I saw in Jiangsu. As I stood at the Yulong Bridge and looked down at the Yulong River below, the scenery was stunning. The beaming hot sun unveiled a clear blue sky with greenery alongside the riverside and bamboo rafts with their colorful umbrella glided gracefully down the Yulong River.
I took about half an hour to explore the ancient town beside this Yulong Bridge. A number of the villagers worked as bamboo raft operators and they congregated beside the bridge playing their cards or taking their rest. There were few restaurants and eateries located by riverside beside the bridge.
Nothing glamorous but the quaint town and tranquil scenery were rewarding.

The bridge itself it's nothing special. But it's amazing the ride you have if you are coming from Yabgshuo by bike and you take the internal streets in the middle of the fields (both side of the river). It's the starting point for the bamboo raft (but just for the two ways ride, for one way you should go to the next bridge)

It's a beautiful bridge. Besides the bridge there's not much to see, but I loved taking a bamboo raft from here.

We ended up at the Yulong Bridge, but for us it was about our cycling journey to get there. We got lost and found so many times, but it doesn't really matter. We wouldn't have found the bridge if it wasn't for a friendly local, who just happened to own a waiting raft, guiding us there. He on his motor bike and us on our push bikes.
The bridge is just a lovely old stone bridge and yes it is spoiled by the many waiting bamboo rafts. But we just enjoyed the village, the journey and experience. That's really what this area is all about.
We loaded up our bikes on the raft and travelled down the river for about an hour. It was great! The water was lovely and clear, a nice cool change from the heat and humidity. Take off your shoes and enjoy the water. This bamboo rafting is a must do.
