One of the most amazing views I've ever seen!

The hike is only half an hour if you are fit, it isn't even dangerous as others have said! Just a ladder on the way! The hike is pretty boring in the trees but as you get to the... read more

The hike is only half an hour if you are fit, it isn't even dangerous as others have said! Just a ladder on the way! The hike is pretty boring in the trees but as you get to the top it opens up and really is spectacular. Walk a little further passed the pagoda and onto the rocks near the... More

One of the mountains to climb in the Yangshuo / xingping area. 1300 stairs and ladders on the way up. watch out when climbing or going down after it rains.

It's a lot of steps. A LOT. But it worth it. The view is incredible. It wasn't a clear day, so everything was in some yellowish fog, but, as I already wrote, very beautiful.

Hiking starts from the path near the Pier and right side of the Arch(If coming from the Pier). Ask locals if not able to find. Hiking is short (Around 45-60 Min) and little scary as steps are steep, narrow and no protection. Carry water and don't take heavy bags. View from top is breath taking. Go for Beautiful Sunset, short... More

This was the best thing we did during our visit to Guilin/Yangshou areas. I opted to skip the Moon Hill and Silver Cave (as too touristy) and glad I did. The path starts adjacent to the boat docks in Xing Ping. It took close to an hour to get to the top, as it was extremely hot and took plenty... More

We stayed at a hotel near the Yangshuo North Bus station. Early morning, we took a bus no. 5 to the Yangshuo South Station. The bus fare is only RMB 1. Upon alighting at the South Station, we took another bus to Xing Ping. It cost RMB 10. The Laozhai Mountain is just located at the quay in Xing Ping.... More

We arrived by bus from Yangshuo, fairly easy to find- look for the TripAdvisor sign drawn on the wall. Fairly steep climb- ladders in parts- so sensible footwear please. Do bring lots of water. Not only is the view the best in the area & there are so few tourists!!! Do climb/scramble over to the communications tower once you get... More

Climbing this mountain is not too tricky, even for those afraid of heights, though I would caution those with children. On a rainy day the steps up to the top would be incredibly slippery and as it is there are stretches of steep steps with no barrier to stop you falling. Despite this, I highly recommend the climb. It is... More

This is the best view in this area!! really breathtaking view !! to get there you climb a steep staircase in the middle of the wet green and lush, on the side of the mountain. it takes about an hour but it is worth it !! beautiful place !!

This mountain is really easy to find, just by the water by Xingping and really clearly signposted. Naturally it's quite a tiring trip but not much harder than Moon Hill (and it's so much more worthwhile!) The steps start out fine but really get quite difficult as they get steeper and slippier, with the lack of railings to hold onto... More
