My son and I visited this quaint village on a hot afternoon. Some of the buildings are being restored and the geographic footprint is pretty small. The village was preserved because a local military hero and his family lived there.

I spent a little time walking around the village and having lunch at the Secret Garden. We enjoyed both. It was drizzling when we visited so, things were pretty quiet. The serenity of the place was nice compared to the crowded cities that we had...More

You'll be disaponted if come intentionally here. It's nice and charming but very small. There are not many things to do. Only a couple of old buildings. A couple of expensive restaurants and stalls with handcraft.

I'm not sure if this was really worth seeing as it's a small area without much to see, other than the Secret Garden Hotel restaurant, which is very good.

Quintessential rural Chinese Village. Village friendly and helpful. Quiet and peaceful. Not a party place but one can enjoy the surroundings with family or friends. Great base for seeing the local environment.

We arranged the trip to Jiuxian en route to the Dragon Bridge. Its a tiny group of old buildings, still inhabited and undergoing some renovations. Surrounded by fields and ducks and the characteristic rural landscape of the region, its fairly remote as far as transport...More
