There are many hotels inside the park that better the experience in so many ways. I choose to stay on a affordable and convinient hotel right across the park having a room view of the park's karts and the river, and just a couple hundred meters away from the park's main bridge as the umbilical cord to move around its features. From its top one can get the best sunset in the park by facing the river as foreground which runs away into the series of karts as background on an open amazing view.
The prices for these hotels inside the park are quite affordable considering the benefits involved. Be sure a continental breakfast is served which you might end missing it (believe me). Do your home work including where to eat without leaving the park to save time. The Chinese cuisine differs regionally fitting not everybody's taste. There is a new hotel with a beautiful Japanese set up a hundred meters from the main bridge. Check their amenities as a great option (It's on a complex of hotesl accesible by crossing an small bridge lay over a branch of the big river).

Yanshuo Park is a large and beautiful park surrounded by amazing karst mountains, smaller rolling hills, but also motorcycles. That was the only part that I did not care for. Tourists and locals were busily riding along parts of the park where they should not have been which made me and my wife feel on edge because of the possibility that one would get too close to our children. It didn’t occur, but that took away from the beauty of our entire park visit. Bring snacks and a driver because there aren’t many places to find respite in the brutal weather conditions.

The beauty of nature is displayed in Yangshuo County. There are many things one can do in this popular tourist area, including admiring the landscape heavily impacted bu the magnificent mountains, hiking, climb Moon Hill and view the 50-metre hole on its top, cruising on the Yulong River, engage in cultural activities, watch the local fishermen on their bamboo rafts, and more.

Just opposite the Yangshuo central bus station, the green and leafy Yangshuo park is a wonderful place to observe the community in action (people watching). Old folks playing Mahjong and cards, people of all ages strutting their stuff- Tai Chi, ballroom dancing, karate, fan dance and everything in between. There is a hill to climb that offers an aerial view of Yangshuo. The hill climbing is in two stages; at the lower peak there is a pergola, and there is a nice view of the city to be had. However, even better views are from the upper peak (also contains a shelter). Yangshuo Park also contains a theme park of some sort for the children as well as shops in the periphery with local snacks, drinks and delicacies. Well worth a visit if time permits. Better to go in the morning when it is cooler if you intend to climb the hill.

This place is a must. Beautiful scenery, easy to walk around, great attractions. The River Li is amazing. Food friendly restaurants, 7th Heaven Cafe and Kellys for us westeners who might enjoy western food. West st a buzz. Peoples Minority Village on road back to Guilin was wonderful to see. Dragon Cave, interesting and easy to do. You can purchase a wonderful map that gives heaps of options and if then guide is good, then they will be flexible as was Lilly. We changed things from site to site, day to day and never a problem.

Looking at other reviews there seems a bit of confusion as to what this park is. It is the area just outside Yangshuo town by the Yulong river. It is not some urban park in Yangshuo town, but more like a national park. I had read that traffic was not allowed but it was not the case, with all kinds of vehicles. There are businesses and activities in the park and plenty to do.
We are a family with two children aged 8 & 11 and had decided to cycle round the park. We hired tandem bikes just outside the park entrance. We soon realised that electric bikes would have been better, as we struggled in the August heat. It was anything but the gentle leisurely ride we imagined. The heat and the large vehicles were too much!
That being said though, we loved the spectacular scenery. The famous karst mountains are covered in greenery and the entire area is very photogenic. I’ve given it five stars just for that.

We enjoyed a Saturday half-day in this relaxing park. Lots of local families were enjoying different activities..dancing, singing in a choir, chess/mahjong playing...We climbed the top platform on the hill with scenic panoramic view of Yangshuo downtown surrounded by mountains. The park entrance is free. Park is nice and clean.

The park was clean and peaceful. There are good walks within and you can also walk up the stairs to a viewing pagoda.

The first attraction I visited in Yangshuo was this Yangshuo Park. It was about half an hour walking distance from my hotel located opposite the North Bus Station. The park entrance is visible from the main road and it takes another 15 mins walk from the park to the touristy West Street.
I visited the park in the afternoon. As I entered the park compound, it gave me an impression of an ordinary park that looks unappealing to a foreign visitor like me and it appeared a congregation ground for only the locals who came here for relaxation and chit chat sessions.
There is a martyr monument erected at the rear of the park in memory of those patriotic local heroes who sacrificed their precious lives during the Second World War against Japan.
I must admit that China is a country united by this sense of nationalism that was deep-rooted in her culture and pervaded throughout her 5000 years of civilization. I stood in front of the martyr monument and silently saluted the great unsung heroes who defended China from the slaughter of Japanese imperialism.
Less than 20 meters from the martyr monument is a road that leads the way up a hill. When I was walking my way to the park, I could visibly see a pagoda on top of a hill inside the Yangshuo Park. It looked impressive and I asked a local while at the vicinity of the martyr monument and he pointed the way to hike up the hill to the pagoda.
It took me less than 30 mins to scale up this low hill. The steps were a bit of uneven and narrow and though there is a metal railing for me to hold on to, the height of the railing was relatively low. For a tall man like me, I found the metal railing too low for my height and thus not very secured to walk up in an upright position. I had to crawl up slowly instead rather than stood upright while hiking up.
I did not see anyone at the pagoda. But the panoramic views at the hill top was perfectly gorgeous. I felt a sense of satisfaction the moment I reached the apex of the hill. I could feel the pulsation of the heart as I hiked my way up. I was also sweating profusely under the scorching heat of the humid summer afternoon. I was happy to boast my achievement to my wife by showing her the spectacular photos I took at the peak.
I strongly recommend that visitors should hike up this little hill when in Yangshuo. It is a bit of challenging doing that in summer but it is equally rewarding once the gorgeous panoramic view revealed in front of you. It is ten folds easier to scale this hill than hiking the Laozhai Mountain in Xingping. So, why miss the opportunity. On top of that, the entrance into the park is free.
