This temple is really nice. If you've seen a Buddhist temple then they're all really similar. I had a really good guide so it felt really worthwhile but I think without a guide it's just another temple. Lots of history though.

Our friends felt we needed to visit. Interesting temple and beautiful carvings. The grounds are attractive. We also spent time visiting the vendors outside of the temple and found them to be interesting as well.

The temple has great antique architecture which has remained intact for over 1,900 years. Worth a visit.

This place is incredible, they have temples from Burma, Thailand, India, China and southeast Asia. what you have in display in this place is incredible. Another must see place while in Luoyang. Spend a good half day to a day here appreciating all the historical information and cultural displays.

Its about 7-8 km from the city of Luoyang, we took a taxi and paid 35 yuan and tipped the driver 5 yuan. It is not a custom to tip in China. Or take the bus K56, K58, 87 or 91, and get off at Baimasi Station. Remember that most bus drivers does not English. It's not much to see... More

This is as good as it gets with regards to Chinese temples, with some very nice gardens and buildings. It is actually still used as a temple too, unlike many of the famous ones which have simply turned into tourist attractions. There is a section with Thai and Indian buildings which is worth a walk round. 1.5 hours is more... More

Very much worth a taxi trip or a 45 min bus ride. Its about 10km from Old Town and a nicely managed active Buddhist temple. It is a very important site for Luoyang history. Ticket - 50RMB

The most interesting thing there is international temples. In one place you can find chinese, birma's, thai, indian style buddist temples. They look amazing!

It seems be one more refurbished temple in china. but i loved the legend why the temple was named a "white horse". besides, in July (I was there 2 weeks ago) the splendorous Lotus garden per se worth a visit. From Wikipedia: Here are several forms of the legends relating to the foundation and naming of the temple: Following Emperor... More

This is worth just because it is the first buddist temple in China, 68 AD. Other than that not much more to appreciate than any other temple. One note if you are looking for some quick and cheap health remedy, in the middle of the temple area there is a stone lotus flower that you can caress and then touch... More
