Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Bombed by the US military during the Korean War in the early 1950s this half bridge is symbolic. The removal of half the bridge prevented the Chinese supporting North Korea in the conflict.
See the bridge at night when it is lit with changing colours.
The Frienship bridge is right next to this older bridge.

There isn't much other than a photo opportunity here, but it is a bridge that has been kept as it is due to it's historical significance. It is a reminder of how the UN forces taunted the Chinese by bombing the southern parts of the bridges along the border. It is also a symbol of why the Chinese ultimately got involved in the Korean War.
It is worth a visit if only for it's historic significance.

You've just simply got to check this icon out - it's history and what it stands for (and has been left for) are awesome.
Also, Dandong, where this is located is a city that is being built for 2.5m people over a period of just 5 years. They're on track to pull it off and that alone is worth seeing. North Korea is just on the other side of the river so you are so close.

It's a bridge connecting China and N.Korea, and that's about it.
Maybe for bridge lovers, it might be something special to see, but the bridge itself is nothing worth seeing.
In the evening you can see trucks crossing the river and twice a week you can see a train.

Yanwo wooden structure of the Yalu River Pontoon Railway Pontoon Site is an important passageway where volunteers crossed the river and to transport combat materials during the Korean War. Across the river are the White Horse Mountains and agricultural lands of Korea. Today, all we can see are the remnants of the former wooden bridge, which has been replaced by a steel bridge.

This is a very interesting bridge that showed the aftermath of the bombing by American bombers during the Korean war. You should walk to the end where you can get a closer view of the damaged bridge and a good look of the North Korean side.

Good for the historical value, but expensive and boring.
