Though the park is beautiful, almost all the board walk paths are closed in winter. They claim this is due to fire risk, which is ridiculously. We didn't know this in advanced and got here by 9 hour bus from chengdu. Very disappointing, all you can do is ride the bus around. If you don't mind that then great go for... More

Jiuzhaigou is often not on the itineraries of people traveling through China, but it should be! Despite it being peak tourist season (early July), we barely saw any international tourists visiting. However, it was, by far, the most beautiful place we visited in China, hands down (with Huanglong Scenic Valley as a close second). If you're not keen on walking... More

Jiuzhaigou national park is one of world heritage sites. Located about 8 hours driving from chengdu. We can use shuttle bus inside to go around the national park. There are many beautiful spots to be seen, some of them are mirror lake, long lake, nourilang waterfall, etc. I ate lunch inside the national park. The beautiful scenery very worthed to... More

It means Nine Stockades Gully here, There are many waterfalls, lakes aside from herds of yaks, birds are the most evident wildlife. The buses will take you to the top then walk down to exit. Avoid summer weekends and Oct. till early Nov. has fall colors and fewer crowds. Winter may have snow but still open to public.

This is a must visit! We went in early Nov , still have autumn colors so we were quite glad but entering into winter season so quite chilly. Snapped lots of pictures. Tourist crowd gets lesser as compare to golden week but still can get packed at nice scenic positions. Overall, a good time to go end Oct or early... More

A beautiful park. Lots of people, but most local tourists stick to the few same spots and it possible to venture alone in amazing landscapes.

So many beautiful lakes and forests and mountains. It takes a while to get to the place from anywhere as it is way up in elevation in the mountains. So plan accordingly. Water so clear and blue you can see to the bottom. Lots of waterfalls lots of forests. Simply amazing

I was not expected something as natural and beautiful as this when we decided to go... I've traveled quite a lot and I've never seen a water so transparent and turquoise, it was splendid! It's very well preserved and gigantesque, I recommend two days to fully experience the beauty of the place and take your time. Most of the locals... More

This place is absolutely gorgeous and, although sections of it are closed for winter, it is still worth a visit. The scenery is stunning and, being winter, it meant the crowds were less, meaning we could enjoy it more!
