On arrival at Dali on 16 Apr 2017 we were chauffered to the Chongsheng Temple which was destroyed during the war and rebuilt. We prayed to get blessing for peace and harmony to the world. The three Pagodas situated below the temples survived the war. The 69.13m major pagoda and the two 42m high pagodas are majestic and provide a... More

It is easy to spend a few hours here. The setting is lovely, the plantings are beautiful and the pagodas very picturesque. There is a tram that will take you around, but it is nice to walk at your own pace. Be sure to visit the 5-star bathroom on the property. It is beautiful, spa-like and there is no charge!

The Three Pagodas front a series of temples rising up the mountain. Each temple involves traditional architecture against a backdrop of snow capped mountains and the images of worship in each of the temples may cause you to rethink your understanding of Buddhism.

The Reflection Park is a small part of the actual Three Pagodas complex. The reflection park mostly resembles a nature reserve, with the pond & surrounding greenery. For the most part, you'll end up seeing this if you spend enough time at the Three Pagodas complex in general. The whole place is huge, and this park is only a small... More

There is small like in the beginning of the park. There is a much better reflection of the pagodes and the mountains behind them.

The entire Park is very large, encompassing much more than just the Pagodas. Guides told us that walking the entire Park is a 4-hour experience, so we decided to skip the upper portion entirely. Still a very nice experience, and well worth the visit.

Definitely a must if you are in Dali. The pagodas and the park itself are worth visiting. They charge you for an entrance to the park and then an additional charge if you elect to take the mini bus to the focal points. One can walk, but it was too hot for us to make the trek. Overall, beautiful scenery... More

This location is not for the faint at heart. The start of this enormous area is still easily accessible, but once you pass the 3 pagodas, the journey starts. Endless stairs to climb, each endig at a temple of sorts. The temples are not really impressive, the little shops inside selling selfie sticks and the likes took away from the... More
