The pagodas are extremely old and attractive, especially if the weather is clear and calm enough to see their reflection in the pool. One leans like the Tower of Pisa. However, the huge temple complex of which they are part is all recently rebuilt and extremely garish.

The site is superb & extremely large so organize comfortable shoes. The multiple Temples & Pagodas are very well kept. Impressive decoration. Awesome views of the mountains (Chongshan mountains). Totally worth the visit !

This was one of our (unexpected) highlights during a 3-week China trip. We were positively surprised by the beauty and sheer size of the whole Chongsheng temple complex. Yes, the three pagodas are the main highlight, but there is much more behind it: temple after temple, and ample beautiful views over both the mountain range and the lake. Take at... More

The Three Pagodas and Chongsheng Temple were fantastic, each representing a unique piece of architecture and history. From my understanding, the temple buildings were more recently rebuilt, however (especially in the case of the upper level buildings) that didn't detract from the overall experience. As you ascend up the mountain, the views behind you to the lake are amazing. I... More

This place is both spectacular and charming, between lake and mountains with temples and pagodas. Really good

Very quiet area located at the foothill of the green Cangshan Mountain. Beautiful temples ant three unique "skyscraper shaped" Pagodas. Best to visit at sun rise for photos.

We had beautiful views, impressive temples and gardens. You need a guide to help you understand the place but also realise that much has been rebuilt after the destruction of the red guards .

The three pagodas are set in the grounds of a large monastery. Take a tourist bus to the top of the monastery and then walk slowly down towards the pagodas, looking in at various temple buildings on the way. So much to see. For us the wooden frieze behind the back of the first temple we saw was exceptional -... More

We love the aura and the surrounding of the three ancient pagodas and the majestic Buddhist temples on the top of the hill facing the beautiful landscape of Dali. Highly recommended to visit and walk the surrounding garden of the pagodas.

The three pagodas are set in a lovely park and give a very good insight into the Buddhist faith. Many things to see and beautiful views out over the valley
