It is so worth taking a little detour to go visit the Dali university campus ground. The setting is stunning against mountain backdrops and a full of the Erhai lake!

This has to be one of the prettiest campuses in China, if just for the view you get of the mountains, valley and lake. Great chance to take in some scenery and get a peek at student life in Yunnan. Leave time for a snack or meal -- the street outside the east entrance to campus is lined with delicious,... More

Walked through the University grounds after spending a day up Cangshan. This was the prettiest campus I have seen anywhere. The buildings have interesting designs, and the grounds include a large pond ad tea plantations. There are also fabulous views of Lake Erhai from almost everywhere on campus. You can reach the University by taking the number 2 bus.

We took the bus from the center to take us our of the tourist area to this beautiful campus. Sitting at the base of Changsen Mountain with lovely small lakes, We hiked around the camput and up into the hill around it. It was a great day !

I live across the street and this is one of the most beautiful campus I have ever seen. Go into the university and go up. Turn around and take stunning picture of Dali old city.

Only when going up the steps and turning around to take pictures of Dali is worth it. There is basically nothing much to do around here. When it snowed for the first time in 10 years (December 2013), there was snow everywhere and it was fun just going through it.

Very nice campus in the mountains... They have a great traditional Dali noodle breakfast for 4 yuan.... In the evening there is a food night market... Great spicy noodles and a very good local seasoned French fry...lively peaceful ...

The grounds of the University are really nice to just walk around. You can get a really great view of the city and lake area too.
