Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I really dont know what a fuss is about Bale in Istria. You literally can walk the entire city center in 10minutes.
Nice things are church and I guess small and narrow Istrian street (typical for all of Istria btw).
Overall, pretty bland experience.
Parking is cheap altough, there is now beach near by.

What a charming medieval village! Bale was a stopover from Pula on our way to Rovinj and we absolutely loved it. An hour is enough to walk around it. Definitely worth stopping by!

After the frenetic bustle of Rovinj, stumbled across Bale, just a few miles in from the coast. Very attractive narrow streets and a very interesting church (far more interesting than the cathedral in Pula!!!). Very relaxed and laid back atmosphere and easy to find your way around. Plenty of parking close to the historic core and lots of great eating places.

Ancient village with a 4 star hotel/restaurant tucked away too - hotel la grisa. It's fascinating .... Prehistoric, medieval to now ..... Some beautiful restorations but they've all captured the magic of the place. Well worth a visit - particularly if you want to get away from the bustle of Rovinj. Casanova (should he return in spirit) would no doubt like the jazz too tho we didn't get to see any. Lovely!

This little town is a treasure. We drove in by mistake, but it turned out to be a treasure. Look at the old town and the Holy Spirit Church. Excellent photo opportunities.
