The castle looks to be renovated very recently. The medieval characteristics of the castle are primarily visible in the main building structure with its round towers and battlements. Almost all interior decorations and other small details seem to be lost.
Impressive from the road. Has free grazing deer in fields. Could unfortunately not gain access and due to time limitations we didn't persue entering.
We were in Veliki Tabor last year and were amazed! The castle is beautiful, museum modern, fun and informativ,restauration very well done! Visit if in Zagorje!

Ate lunch overlooking this lovely site. Unfortunately castle has been closed since 2008 for renovations.
Old castle in quite good condition. It is in process of renovation now. View is very nice. It's good for sort walking around. Don't miss that place!
