13e century old city with narrow streets. Only 300 people are still living inside the old walls. Many terraces as well as stone balconies. One of the most beautiful (and peaceful in sept) old city we visited during this 19 days trip. You can spend a full day wandering thru those narrow streets stoping at every boutiques.

We visited Korcula in November and officially the season is over. For us that was a delight as we could wander around and explore and take photos unhindered by others. There wasn't much open but for me that made it so much easier to see the beauty of the old town.

We took a two week tour of Croatia and Slovenia and we spent an afternoon in the Korcula Old City. It is a small city directly on the Adriatic. It is supposedly the birthplace of Marco Polo although there is disagreement about this among historians. However, Marco Polo was captured here and put into prison where a fellow inmate chronicled... We visited Korcula old town whilst on a 2 week silaing charter holiday in Croatia this year. Having already seen the old towns in Split & Dubrovnik we were dubious that the much smaller old town on Korcula island would impress us too much. However, whilst it is indeed much smaller, it is is also much less crowded (at least... More

We visited Korcula on a tour from Dubrovnik and our local guide was very knowledgeable on the history of the city and the different places to have a look at. We were very lucky and the weather was marvelous even late October so The views were stunning and the pictures worth it. Do not miss it if you are visiting... More

I did not expect Croatia to have such beautiful islands-what a surprise!! Korcula is a place to relax-there's a couple of museums and churches to tour, but I got the sense that travelers come here to unwind. I rented a bike and spent a day riding, took advantage of spa services at my hotel (Marko Polo, highly recommend), had a... More

Korčula town has all for a choosy visitor. It has fine position on a small hill near the seaside on marvelous island. You can visit local museum, look at old stone architecture in narrow streets, you can hear some legends about Marco Polo. You can also find some good and some average restaurants. Just avoid the high season in August... More

Korcula was one of the towns that was a stop on our 8-day cruise of the Dalmatian islands. It was very pretty from the water and interesting to see but quite small so you can see everything in a couple of hours.

A beautiful town with a brilliant atmosphere. Ancient stone buildings, narrow alleys and plenty of interesting places to visit. Unfortunately our stay was much too short.

I thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Fabulous food . Scenery is beautiful . We stayed at the Marco Polo hotel. Warm sunshine with the occasional storm . Sea still warm enough to swim in . Enjoyed my morning walks !
