The basic exterior gives way to an ornate interior which is well worth a visit. Also of interest in this Roman Catholic Church is the memorial to the six million Jewish victims of the Holocaust.

A church in the middle of the old fortress. We had the pleasure of listening to a young soloist who also played the piano.

The church exterior would lead you to believe a modest interior would follow. Prepare to be surprised. Should a talented young woman sing and accompany herself on the piano, you will be as blessed as our Viking group. What a transportive treat.

I was not that impressed with the exterior of the church when compared to European cathedrals, but what a very impressive interior! Simply amazing alter and other religious decor. We toured as part of a Viking excursion, and were so extremely impressed. The organist sang...More

This is also known as the church of three naves or Trobrodna Bazilika. Located in the Northern part of old town, the very modest exterior fails to prepare you for the lovely interior. The front of the church has a couple of statues of saints...More

This is an absolutely beautiful franciscan monastery . Lovely paintings and statues and cloisters. this is situated in part of Tvrda which is an 18th century defensive fortress. Immaculately preserved houses and buildings and lovely cafes inside walls. Worth a few hours walking.

Had a singer perform for the group, very nice setting. The interior has many beautiful carvings, well preserved. Exterior is modest, but has a nice courtyard in the back, with a shop for area trinkets and local drink.

The church is quite lovely, with beautiful paintings on walls and ceilings. But the monastery was really interesting. The statues in the courtyard, made from war relics are confronting, but have a stark beauty.

The church, built by Franciscan monks, contains a wealth of baroque and rococo ornaments, a beautiful altar and a gothic statue of of Our Lady of Osijek - a rosy cheeked Madonna holding the infant Jesus. Outside is a much more modern statue depicting Jesus...More
