A modest lake in The Upper Lakes, but pretty like the rest in the park and quieter b/c it's in a less congested part of the park. Easiest access is from Gate 2, though it's worth it to also check out The Lower Lakes (more easily accessed by Gate 1).

In the Upper lakes section of the Plitvice national park - entrance NO 2. If you choose to take the shortest suggested tour - 2 to 3 hour walk 5-6 km long. Take a short boat ride cross the lake and than you walk the wooden paths cross and between the lakes. Okrugljak got its name after ‘okruglo‘ which in Croatian means ‘rounded‘ . The waters around here are turquoise colours. You can stroll on a wooden walkway and wooded paths around the whole lake.

Part of a beautiful hike

On one of our days in Plitvice Lakes National Park we did hiking tour H. This leads along the Upper Plitvice Lakes and Lake Okrugljak is the third lake you pass.
