I'm no history buff and these sorts of places are more about photography to me, however this is pretty well preserved and offers great architecture, mosaics, history and fine views from the top of the bell tower. A rather unassuming place from the outside, but...More

Well preserved Roman remains, delightful baptistry with stunning beamed roof and sunken baptism pool. Good climb up belltower with panoramic views over Porec and island. Beautiful Church with elaborate but restrained decorations. Well worth 40,kn.

Interesting old building 40 kn to get in. Quite a few steps 113 to the bell tower. Nice views from the top. Some items are detailed in English but many aren't. There are toilets and a very small gift shop

I am not a big fan of churches but this looked very nice and it's very old, dated V century, even before middle age begun! Awesome patrimony of humanity Unesco site

We perhaps chose the wrong day for a visit - Sunday - as the Basillica was officially closed to the public however the fact that it was open for worship meant that we could freely wander through the impressive archway into the atrium or courtyard...More

Hi, it is a major attraction and revenue earner so I hope that they would keep it open. Sorry not sure.
