Old town, which is also lively during the winter and at the same time not too crowded (except July and August). Small enough to explore it by foot with concentrated attractions: Euphrasian Basilica, Decumanus street, central square, vivid market and, of course, seafront with restaurants, cafes...

The heart of charming town without tourist overload. Porec was by far our favorite town in Istria. Everything in Old Town is picturesque of what you want in a small beach town. Felt a lot like great little beach villages

The old town of Porec is a must see if travelling in Istria. The place is extremely clean and tidy with history disable everywhere. The church is about 700 years old and the stone paved streets are a delight to see. There are wonderful small narrow streets with shops that have a great range of interesting items for sale. This... We walked the streets paved with stone slabs from the old times, I think they are from the Middle Ages. We explored the building with Baroque windows. Be sure to visit the mosaics and climb the bell tower with a beautiful view.

Wonderful old town to stroll around. Nice restaurants, bars, and shops, with interesting sights thrown in. Right on the water.

This was one of the best vacations ever! I love the beach but the sand can get to be a bit too much. In Porec, the beaches are different then where I live. You have a concrete boardwalk with chairs and umbrellas reaching out to the sea. There are ladders to lower yourself into the water. We had lots of... More

Porec is a charming old town with friendly people, a laid back ambience and nice architecture. It would be of interest to both nature lovers and history buffs. Well worth a visit!

We love porec, have been four times and would still revisit. Lots of old streets with surprises, lovely buildings, quaint shops round each corner. Croatia is not know for it's cuisine but, if you look their are some really good restaurants. Love it.
