Perhaps the most amazing place in Trogir is the main square, surrounded by The Cathedral of St. Lawrence, the Church of Blessed Virgin Marry, the City Lodge, and the City Hall. Its atmosphere is comparable to the most beautiful of European squares. The City Lodge, located opposite the Cathedral, used to be a public courtroom. It is notable for its 6 pillars decorated with capitals and two reliefs carved into the wall.
Near the Lodge, there is St. Sebastian's church with the clock tower. At the entrance to the church, there are two sculptures: one depicts St. Sebastian the Martyr, and the other depicts Christ.
It's worth mentioning a museum of sacral art near the church.
The next building surrounding the main square is the old City Hall. It is a combination of various artistic styles. Today it's the location of the tourist board office.
The square is not particularly big, but it packs a lot in and is a must if you visit this wonderful old town.

The main city square is really quite picturesque with the loggia and church, statues and cafes. Not really something to "visit", you will or sure encounter it as you stroll along the small medieval alleyways that feel like a labyrinth all ending up here.

The square is flanked by the St Lawrence Cathedral, St Lawrence’s church with its unusual clock tower and the Cipico Palace, and it is now home to the tourist information office. The best view of the square can be seen from the top of the cathedral bell tower. But you will need to pay the entrance fee to the cathedral to see this one.
The centre of the square houses tables and chairs from the several cafes and restaurants which are around the square, and is a great place to stop for a coffee or a snack. However be warned that, although not as outrageous as the policy employed in St Marks Square Venice, it will still be the most expensive cup of coffee you have in Trogir.

Central Square in Trogir is the main square of the old town (also called John Paul II Square) in this little and Venetian-style town, near Split, in the Center of Dalmatian Coast. It is a very beautiful square, where there are some important buildings like the Cathedral, St. Sebastian Chapel, the Town Hall, the Loggia Building and some others. Really, it is one of the best places in the town, where you see all the town powder in the past years.

Trg Ivana Pavla II or John Paul II Square or Trogir Square is a historic square in the heart of the old town of Trogir. It is bordered by the most important buildings from the Middle Ages: the Cathedral of St. Lawrence, the Town Hall, the Loggia. The square is not very big, but beautiful and worth seeing.

Although little is actually open in Trogir in the winter, visiting the central square is still worth it. The cathedral with its famous carved doors, are also under restoration so be prepared. Instead, focus on the beautiful clock tower and the ancient columns.

Nice square in the image of Trogir with its City Inn, cathedral, courtyard, restaurants, bars and small shops. It is a must-see that then allows you to venture into one of the alleys of Trogir. There is right next door as a kind of small square with benches in the shade of trees.

Fabulous area to explore. Lots of shops, restaurants and shops selling gelato. It is very difficult to park in this area. Sometimes we parked on the other side of the bridge by the farmer’s market. Wonderful spot to visit and explore.

Glorious Trogir, Full of history, lovely architecture, narrow streets full of life and character and lovely restaurants. Just along the coast from Split - lovely but probably not in August as I can imagine it would be to full. September was great

How far away from the Airport EYW are these too lodgings. also how far away is the beach, is an automobile needed which would be the easiest to get too

Trogir is about 10 minutes away from Split airport, by bus (number 37). Buses are every 20 min. from main road outside airport. Trogir is small so once there it will only be a 5-10min walk to any of the hotels.
