I visited this museum looking for pre-Columbian items specifically Valvidia and Huancavilica cultures. Although the museum has a relatively small collection the items on exhibition are wonderful and worth to see. If you are interested in Ecuadorian anthropology this place is a must .

Great pieces set out as a historical progression and showcasing many different peoples. Don't miss the "shrunken heads" complete with feather adornments!
