I had my reservations but I enjoyed my entire experience on this ride. You have 5 minutes and the ride is slow. The views are lovely and I took pictures almost the entire time.

Dont go on this at night thinking the view will be good. Hard to see much at night. Good day view and it really is very large.

Riding La Perla is a cheap ($5 per person) way to take a seat and rest a bit, gain the 'high ground' and get great photo opportunities of the waterfront, colorful city, and light house or whatever you want to see. I would estimate the...More

Located on the malecon on the riverfront in Guayaquil, La Perla is a large Ferris wheel with completely enclosed cars. Climate controlled and even complete with music, it makes for a very pleasant and scenic 12 minute ride

Guayaquil joins the many cities that now boast a ‘Big Wheel’ slowly revolving observation platform allowing sights of the city from on high. $10 fee makes it particularly good value.

Nice looking at Guayaquil from the top of the revolving wheel and a good place to take pictures, after you finish the ride there are several tourist options to enjoy.

First attraction we went to with our kids (ages 1 to 14). There was almost nobody when we arrived, so it was very easy to access. The whole round takes about 10 to 15 minutes.

Be prepared to climb 444 steps to the top of the hill for great views. I was impressed by the amount of security guards leading safely tourists all the way up. Definitively a must see (free) attraction while in Guayaquil.
