This is a neat walk through a truly beautiful part of the city! Walking up the numbered steps through a colorful display of buildings is neat! Flowers and trees line parts of the way with areas to stop and take in the view! The view...More

This is not the place to walk up if the sun is shining and it's over 80 degrees. But when we started it was cloudy and didn't feel that hot. The humidity gets you about 1/2 way up and you are sweating like crazy. Take...More

To walk up to the church for the views is a must, once in Guayaguil. Houses surely are pretty and the hike is not too demanding. A lot of small bars everywhere, but they seemed to be quite noisy. Go just before sunset.

Beautiful colors and an amazing views along the way. If you go later in the day the bars and restaurants will be open as well. The lighthouse at the top is really astonishing. A trip not to be missed

Cero (hill) Santa Ana, aka Las Peñas, is the heart and soul of Guayaquil. Beautifully restored, suggestion is to walk around lower level to Wyndham Hotel on far side. No need to climb 440 steps to El Faro (lighthouse) although there are various restaurants and...More

This barrio has been thoroughly cleaned up, has tight security, and forms a superb component of the malecón 2000. Basically you walk up from the shoreline walk up about 500 steps winding through cute brightly painted houses and small shops. There is a museum, church,...More
