The Malecón 2000, is the place that I have visited more in the last months because it is a tourist recognized attraction and beautiful. This place increasingly provides more tourist, to attract the attention of national and foreign tourists. For example, Malecon 2000 has its own garden full of flowers and water sources where many fish and ducks live. In... More

I remember the days when the dirty banks of the Guayas river were the last place you wanted to go for a stroll, because it was dangerous... These days are gone, fortunately, since the new Malecon was inaugurated in year 2000. The long promenade is a combination of attractive boardwalks or cemented pathways with tiles, overlooking the languid waters of... More

A nice touristy place to stroll. It seemed pretty quiet. Some local and tourists mixed. I think they could have made it better--more shade sails and places to eat and sit. Worth seeing though

The Malecón 2000 is a great escape for an early morning or late evening walk along the Guayas River. Places to eat if you wish, a journey from modern to historic Guayaquil and some great views. Enjoy!

The Malecón Simón Bolívar or Malecón 2000 is one of the most interesting places in the center of the city. It is clean and in good condition, the Simon Bolivar malecon has food stalls, a shopping center, a craft market, historical monuments, fountains, pools, and playgrounds. In addition you can take river tours on the Guayas River as the "Guayas... More

Nice walk with beautiful views bordering the river. Restaurants in the area are OKAY. If you want to walk further or have a little run you can reach the base of Cerro Santa Ana
