2.5 km walk along waterfront in modernistic style. Used a lot by locals. Nice to walk along, but not very interesting...

Very nice park. Head left and you see new development including modern skyscrapers and luxury hotels and dining and go right for the old town and shops and events. Very fun place to spend an evening. Nice breeze too. Bring a coat?? wow. for real.

I really enjoyed spending time walking around and people watching! The La Perla Ferris wheel reminded me of the London Eye and the views of the river and city is picture perfect!!

My wife and I spent just under three hours at Malecon 2000 today. The day was grey but the delight of seeing lots of people enjoying the walk was entertaining. This is a must do while in Quayaquil.

There was a mix of locals and tourists walking through this waterfront park. It was mostly clean and seemed safe. Unfortunately the river flowing next to it was extremely polluted.
