This is one of my favorite places to go with my kids because they love to see the different animals that there are here like snakes, tigers, zebras, monkeys, birds, turtles etc.
The guides are excellent and give very good explanations of the animals and their habitats. The new and constant adaptations make it a place that you can visit with the whole family. There are many surprises and it is also very educational. For example now there is an aquarium with many species of fish.
The opening hours are from Monday to Sunday from 09:00 to 17:00.
The prices are:
• Adults: $ 6
• Children: (2 to 12 years old) $ 3
• Students (on primary and secondary school reservation): $ 3
• Third Age: $ 3

People must visit this place, because it is an amazing place where you can see and know about a large diversity of species such as crocodile, lions and camels among others. You can go with your family and friends. The entrance is cheap and it has an atmosphere friendly. Here you could take a lot of photos. The diversity of species is wide and also allow you better know each of them. Do not forget to bring sunscreen and comfortable shoes.

The Pantanal zoo is located at Km. 23 Vía a Daule, diagonal to Lake Capeira. The Zoo has a full natural area where visitors can find more than 90 animal species and more than 100 plants species which allows you to enjoy a great adventure. Those who enjoy birds can see the flamboyance of flamingos, macaws and peacocks or impassivity real vulture. It also has a huge space and suitable for most species, through in which the public can appreciate and enjoy the diversity of wildlife. Of all the species of monkeys that are in the zoo The Pantanal, what caught my attention were the spider monkeys, for the skill they have. I like Zoo Pantanal I because the main function is the reproduction of wild animals in captivity, which usually are in danger of extinction, and that once achieved this end, they are released into their natural habitat, preferably in existing ecological reserves in Ecuador. The Pantanal a very educational place visited by groups of students, families and friends, where knowledge is acquired about the animal world and commitment to protecting the planet's natural resources especially wildlife. A fully recommended place.

As I am currently in Guayaquil, I decided to visit the Pantanal Zoo. Well, coming from Western Europe, I would say that there is a quite some room for improvement. But one thing that surprised me and I have never experienced at a zoo before, is that one has to go on a guided tour which lasts about 90 minutes ... so, no wandering on your own, no option to stay as long as you want.*
The zoo is quite outside from the center of Guayaquil, I went by Uber and paid around 9 USD per trip and it took probably some 30 minutes each way.
There are quite a number of animals but although they seem well fed, the enclosures cannot be compared to Western zoo standards.
Would I recommend a visit? Well, 30% yes, 70% no. Apart from seeing predators in small enclosures, not being able to walk on my own, I would consider a deal-breaker. *However, as I repeatedly strayed from the path and was reprimanded by the guide, I finally decided that they would either kick me out or leave me alone ... but one more free-spirited staff member who was not so insistent on implementing the rules (which by the way are more of a recommendation on the zoo's website) finally gave me permission to wander around on my own and stay as long as I wanted which kind of made me feel better but who would think that going to a zoo would mean walking behind a guide for 90 minutes and then be escorted to the exit?
Anyway, I just thought people might want to know beforehand ...

El Pantanal Zoo Is a little removed from the center of the city; But it is a place that is worth visiting. This place has excellent guides, educated, friendly and always ready to teach you all about the animals that live here and with strict security measures to keep visitors safe and not disturb the animals, always accompanied by the guide and you can not be separated from the group. In this place we can find animals of all kinds; Such as: turtles, crocodiles, hippos, camels, ostriches, zebras, monkeys any size and species. Personally the most impressive place of this zoo, is the section of snakes and the cage where are the lions, tigers and pumas. These animals are the most impressive of all because of their large size and how beautiful their fur. In my opinion, at this zoo, they care for and protect animals; these look well fed and living in optimum conditions. In the middle of the tour, the guides allow you a little break to feed yourself, take photos or you can buy souvenirs from the store. My only recommendation is that this visit is best enjoyed, if you have your own car because the zoo is very far from the city and buses are scarce.

The Pantanal is a zoo located in Via a Daule, is a little far away from downtown but worth visiting. The Pantanal is a zoo with a cozy atmosphere, variety of species and excellent guides; There is also a variety of animals, which are in very good condition and well fed. My recommendation is to bring water, sunscreen and light clothing because of the warm. Admission is :Adults: $ 6 and Children: $ 3.

antanal is located just 15 minutes from downtown. I loved this zoo, have a variety of animals not only in Ecuador but worldwide. The guides take you around the zoo and give you information on each species exists as turtles, butterflies, birds.
The animals are well cared for by administrators. The zoo is very large and gives the animals adequate space to live in peace.
It is very important to wear cap and repellent as there are many mosquitoes, to wear sneakers and comfortable clothes. Definitely visiting this zoo is a great opportunity to feel close to nature and spend some quality time with family and friend

The zoo “El Pantanal” is located at Km. 23 vía Daule in Guayaquil, The attention of the public is from 9:00am to 5:00 pm from Monday through Sunday and the price is $ 6 adults, $ 3 children and $3 the elderly. I love to visit this place because I am a lover of wildlife. This place is a large and has several very beautiful animals; I am fascinated to see the lion at the end of the route. They also provide a guided tour through the entire zoo and you can take pictures of the animals.

This is an option to visit with the familiy. It is a local zoo that is outside the city of Guayaquil, about 20 minutes. The owners have over 20 years keeping and caring for animals of many species. Good option to spend a sunday morning. Not expensive.

I've already gone 3 times and about to embark on my fourth. It's not he most luxurious but that's not what the experience is about. They have so may varierty of animals; native exoctics and international. They even have a loose male peacock walking around(totally safe) that definitely lends itself for pictures and enriching your experience. It's a guided tour and incredibly informative at that; some details are even tear jerkers! Questions are always welcomed. The animals can be appreciated from very up-close(still safe) allowing your fotographs to be taken with very good quality. They also have the largest rat in the world which left me dumb-founded as well as the smallest monkey. They give you a recess to take a breather, sit, relax, eat, and use the bathroom. Recording is also not a problem. Definitely a place where a child can satisfy his curiosity to see, feel and hear the animals. That's why i keep coming back!
